I've been having the product for more than a month now and use it as well. The tone Light is somewhat my skin tone but I hope Kiehl's Indonesia to bring the whole shades to Indonesia ^__^ so we have more options. I'm not really a fan of the shine effect, it reminds me of their original sun protection, also in SPF 50 PA +++. The BB Cream is not as shiny as the original sun protection, the tinted does help tone down the shine, but still, there are some mild shines visible. Good news if you're looking for a BB Cream that enhance radiance.

I need a loose powder or compact powder to help mattefies the skin. But again, if you love looking radiant, powders wont be necessary.

I love the high SPF in it especially during traveling and touch up is minimum.

I like the smell, even thou' it's not scented, the smell is pleasing and kinda herbal-ly. The BB Cream also not sticky on the skin, the feeling is velvety and smooth. Gives my skin a light coverage and brighten my look as well. Hide some large pores and gives the skin a better complexion. The Vit C in the long run will help clearing those dark spots and add vitality on the skin too.

The light coverage can be increased by keep adding the BB Cream to the skin gradually but I think medium coverage is max. For full coverage? A dose of foundation afterwards and some concealers is needed.

Overall? Another great product from Kiehl's that protect the skin from the sun, large pores and other imperfections. Suitable for daily use, but remember to clean the skin thoroughly after use with double cleansing method.

The BB Cream can be used with or without makeup. Smooth and velvety effect on the skin with a mild shine. Suitable for long wear and outdoor in the sun.

Must Have Red with Maybelline

Hello everyone ^__^

Finally, after spending the whole day in front of my lappie, this post can be done. As a part of Indonesian Beauty Blogger monthly make up challenge, the theme we have right now (Jan 2013) is Must Have Red with Maybelline as the product highlights.





This is the look I created inspired by the theme and products from Maybelline. I super duper love the lipstick for able to give bright red lips and enough shine at the same time. Looks vinyl to me :*

Now, instead of a normal post, a video is presented with step by step guide of me creating the look. You don't have to follow the steps accordingly, makeup should be about freedom to express yourself and do things your own way.

And here are some pictures taken after the makeup is done. The whole process from base to lips took me around 17 minutes.



Overall, the products from Maybelline is wonderful. The B.B Stick impress me with how smooth it is sliding on the skin like a sharp skates on the ice. Easily blends and provide enough coverage (like medium to high). A concealer still needed for (big) acne, deeper lines or areas under the eyes but overall is still a very good product with SPF too. The mascara is (like always) proven waterproof, I did cry (watching sad movies ... 50 First Date is a bit sad) and wash my face with cold water, the mascara stays on like nothing happened. The Crayon Liner is not tear proof and does smudge too, solution? Don't rub the eyes while using it.

The eyeshadow can be used for many different use as a highlighter for the nose and the dark shades for the brows too. For the eyes? A proper use can help creating a dramatic eyes, bigger eyes, or seductive eyes.

The cheeks are seduced with wooden rose, use it as faint or as bold as you want and there's a glowing material too in the ingredient, so it created an illusion like a sun just kiss the cheeks.

The lipstick. Oohhh! Where should I start?! The consistency, elasticity, rubberiness, viscosity, density, intensity, the .... errr everything seems so right and compacted. It's like magnet to my lips. Color Sensational Red Porcelain RP41 is sensational! Love it!

SILKYGIRL Funky Eyelights Pencil in Ever Green

Hi everyone,

here's another item from SILKYGIRL, I got a Funky Eyelights Pencil in Ever Green (and Frosty Silver) in my hand.

These liners add definition to your eyes with flashes of dramatic colors. Jam-packed with high level of pearlescence, your eyes are guaranteed to shine and light-up in a stroke. So soft and smooth, these kohl liners will not tug or drag at the eyelids. It can even double-up as an eye shadow. Available in 10 funky shades.

The eyelights are easy to used, but during the application the pencil is not very smooth, so careful not to create some creases. Tackle this matter by gently make a dotted line instead of one straight line. The Ever Green color shown just like it is and stay on the lids for 4-6 hours. It's not waterproof but does have a staying power. Can be use for face drawings too and eye shadows like mentioned in the details but I need to practice some more on how to make it blends well on the lid.

After applying, wait for a while for the lines to dry or it will stain on the upper side of the lids. They do dries up quite a while, so try dabbing some loose powder on the lids / eyeshadow base.

Overall, this wallet friendly product is easy and fun to be used with many choices of shades (12) and quite bold too. Some with high pearlescene like the Frosty Silver that I usually used at the inner corner of the eyes while some is like this Ever Green, it's .... green ^__--

NIVEA Visage Refreshing Cleansing Milk (Aqua Effect)

as everyone must have know and aware, a cleanser always play a very important role in our beauty regime. A clogged pores will cause problems therefor they need to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly. 

This is one of the item from NIVEA called Refreshing Cleaning Milk. Use it as a daily cleanser or makeup remover as well. The creamy white lotion smells exactly like the original NIVEA creme, the one in the blue pot (love it).

Usually a cleansing milk for the face wont be safe for use around the eyes, but this one does (considering the affordable price), so it is handy and easily loved. The cleansing milk gives the skin a wonderful clean feeling without the dryness. It cleans makeup base, foundation, lipstick, mascara and eyeliners too. When using heavy makeup one cleansing step wont be enough, after wiping with a cotton, I'll massage some of the cleansing milk again for the second time until the cotton pick up no more makeup. Then followed by a foaming facial wash and toner.

Mine is in 08 Strawberry and on the lips it's like sheer strawberry color, suitable for daily use for looking so light and the moisturizing effect as well. Feels a bit oily on the lips, I like to dab a tissue a bit so I don't look like I just ate something greasy.

But, when I dabbed the tissue on the lips there's not a dot of color there, just a clear balm. So probably the balm shade come out when reacted by ... warmth?

So I tried to draw them on a piece of paper, the Magic Pink Lip Balm looks purplish while the Color Lip Balm 04 Romantic Pink is ... pink on the paper ^__^

Pink on the lips and feels like a lip balm too. Moist, not as moist as the Magic Pink Lip Balm but still moist like a regular lip balm on the market.

The shade last for 3 hours and the lips stay moisturized. The color is bolder than the Magic Pink Lip Balm but not as pigmented as other lipstick. So still, SILKYGIRL is in their comfort zone in giving us a light cosmetics suitable for daily use and those whose young (at heart and real life) and a touch of caring with the nourishing oil and shea butter in it.

Overall, both of the Silky Lips products give the lips a silky feeling, moist and felt pampered. The Magic Pink Lip Balm have minty fresh sensation with sheer red color while Lipcolor gives the lips a bolder lips almost like a lipstick with a feeling also almost like the Magic Pink Lip Balm. Both product easily crumbled and the shape is smaller than my lips, too small perhaps, I wish it come on bigger form like regular lip balm, but maybe this product is made for teens or young customers with smaller lips.

Next on line, I'm trying the Shine-free Loose Powder, mine is 02 Natural Medium.

 A translucent loose powder for that finishing touch after your liquid foundation. This product gives you a soft and natural look. Eliminates shine with its oil-free formula. Available in 2 Asian shades.

The loose powder is easily used and the shade is a bit darker than my natural skin shade, so it looks like I've been spending hours at the beach. Aside from the color the loose powder does gives me a mattefying effect for around 4-6 hours in normal condition (inside building and not in heavy movement such as exercising). The powder is not super fine, so be careful when using it, brush is preferred than the given puff for better result.

DASODA Mega Liquid Liner

A new year is officially started and it's been like around 3,5 years since I started blogging and like 6 years since I start reviewing beauty products. Guess what?! I'm still enjoying trying new stuff, experiencing and sharing the information. Now, it feels like a regular routine to always pick up a new products where later I can write a post about it.

The world is indeed big and many many beauty items are made daily. This is one of my favorite cosmetic which given to me from the distributor in Singapore. A liner from Japan, called, Mega Liquid Liner, produced by DASODA.

Basically it's an eyeliner that offer quick drying formula, blackest color, no staining (after cleansing), easily clean with cleanser yet waterproof.

All the details on it is in Japanese but I'm really happy to see the website have an English option, which rarely given by other Japanese products, so it seems that they do noticed customers from around the world ^__^

It is written that the liner is smear-proof, waterproof and dramatic color. I completely agree! Use it on a dry lids and the liner will work it's way creating a dark black liner and framing the eyes. But when I'm using a creamy eye cream or when it's too hot and my lids are sweating, Mega Liquid Liner won't dry as fast as it supposed to.

And when I used it on the lower lids, as my eyes are very delicate and hypersensitive (I always cry during makeup), tears will dissolve the liner. Warm, fresh tears. I've tried cold water on my face and the liner does waterproof, so perhaps don't splashed yourself with a warm water and it should be just fine.

I also a big fan of the fine line at the tip and when pressed I can easily created a bolder line. I love the stability too plus the constant black color that comes out. So it provide a perfect dark colors that goes steady along the way, no need to be afraid of an 'on and off' lines.

I've tried the liner with various brands and products of makeup base, primer, eye base, eye shadows, etc, and so far, Mega Liquid Liner from DASODA can be BFF with all of them and can be used alone as well without any of them.

Stay on power? All day long in an air conditioned room, but when exercising (sweating) the product will be affected when rubbed/scratched, it will break into small particles but still no smudge and so far it never gave me Panda eyes.  

Overall, make sure the lids are dry enough during application and wait until the line is completely dry and set before activity and it should stay all day long. The brush doesn't need much pressure, just apply it gently and a deep dark color will come out, a pressure will create a bolder line when needed. Steam and warm water (incl fresh warm tears) will break the liner gradually, so gently tap a tissue (don't rub) on the warm sweat/warm tears and let the lines get dry. This product has never smear nor smudge on me (I've used it for a month now). Last but not least, the cleansing is very easy, any makeup remover (preferably for the eyes) will undoubtedly cleans with no trace behind.

On the 20th of Dec 2012, beauty bloggers are invited to Kiehl's in Seibu and we were about to get bombarded with educations ^__^ Fret not, it's unlike those boring classes, this is a 411 on Kiehl's





When I'm step in the room is decorated with Christmas stuffs ... (sorry for the late post then, now probably already changed) and it feels like I'm in New York. The whole atmosphere is just lovely.




Look! Even Mr. Bones is all dressed up! And yes, promotions in the shop too! There's this things called Spread The Joy and their items (some) are the limited editions with cute packaging.




I feel the joy and laughter, those items are some of Kiehl's fave products. Lot's of bundle of joys are prepared for customers.

New Year's Eve is coming soon and here I am writing a post since this holiday I'm going nowhere and stick by for a home renovation =^__^= There's tons needed to be done and remember there's an exciting event last week with SILKYGIRL.

I know the brand since 4 or maybe 5 years ago when I still live in Singapore and this affordable brand always bring modesty in their product's image. Magic BB Cream

The BB Cream only comes in 2 shades and I find the lightest one to be a bit too dark for my face. But, I'll test on the coverage, staying power and comfort, later on.




The eyeliner pencil, mine is in 08.Frosty Silver and it can be used as an eyeshadow as well. Just draw them and smudge accordingly to the outer side of the lids.
I've used it as an eyeliner for the inner corner of the eyes and all the way down. Leave the outer corner with dark liner for an appearance of bigger eye. The eyeliner does have staying power but not waterproof.

Pantene Nature Care Conditioner Smoothness & Life

I'm here with another product from Pantene. Lately, I've been checking out their stuffs since it seems like they more items with better ingredients, shampoo with no silicone and conditioner with no paraben.

One more thing, I've checked their new website and the information provided is pretty neat, just go directly to the products tab, since the front page seems to have a bit of a problem nowadays.

Dirancang untuk menutrisi dan melindungi rambut agar lebih halus, lembut, ringan bebas terurai tanpa membuatnya lepek karena bahan-bahan berlebih. Diperkaya dengan vitamin Pro-V dan bahan-bahan dari tumbuhan seperti Aloe Vera, Calendula dan essens Jahe. Tak mengandung Paraben.

Beside the product details there's also a how to use page which gives illustration. This is another bonus point that educate consumer in using their product accordingly. I see it as an effort from the company to help us ^__^

Now, the review from me.

I use the conditioner just like the instruction and it feels different. Start from the texture, most Pantene conditioner is silky, smooth and white. Slippery to the touch. The Nature Care Conditioner is yellowish, creamy and doesn't feels as slippery as the others (Conditioners from Pantene). The feeling on the hair is also like that, not as slippery as the rest of Pantene's Conditioner I know, the scent is milder, the texture is a bit rougher, conditioned the hair in a gentler way, suitable for normal hair or those who are looking for a lightweight protection. For a chemically damaged hair like me won't find it enough, I need a heavy duty conditioner that fixed, deeply moisturized and give back the hair strength.

The packaging is simple and nice, with accents of "natural environment". I think the conditioner comes in different sizes.

Overall, it's a conditioner for normal hair with no paraben and easy on the wallet. Use it after shampooing and don't let it touch the scalp or hair near the roots.
