Kawaii Beauty Japan (KBJ) Beauty Blogger Gathering (29/11/14)

Hello all,

last Saturday Kawaii Beauty Japan invited some of their beauty bloggers to a gathering, the gathering itself is to gather information about what's inspire the beauty bloggers in joining Kawaii Beauty Japan, motivating them to write more articles and anything related to the activity.

If you don't know what Kawaii Beauty Japan is, below is the information:

-*-

Don't forget to check more details directly to their website (shown on the image above).

-*-

These are the beauty bloggers who came during the gathering. It was quite private and intimate, the main idea is the relationship between beauty bloggers and the media. During the event, we also talk about so many things that are matter for us as beauty bloggers, so far, I found that Kawaii Beauty Japan is the most open media in terms of keeping their beauty bloggers updated.

Their site and newsletter also open to all, so even if you're not a beauty blogger, you can still join and don't forget to follow them on social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as they have daily tips on beauty, skincare, health, makeup, and/or anything related to the trend in Japan.

-*-

These are also the reasons I love KBJ, they always have beauty products from Japan which is not available here in Indonesia. I hope they can soon open an online shop here.

There's a drink that are filled with beauty goodness (it taste exactly like normal water), hydrating serum that penetrate instantly on the skin and Kate Super Sharp Eyeliner which I reviewed before.

-*-

My wish for KBJ is that they'll keep improving in becoming no.1 Japan beauty media in Indonesia, that brings more update beauty info and tips fresh from Japan.

As a beauty blogger, I also wish that KBJ will have more collaborations that involving trips to Japan ^^ whoot!!! I'm volunteering myself as their reporter for sure.

Many of the beauty bloggers who came wants KBJ to have more Japanese beauty products, giveaways and events too.

Let's hope that KBJ become more successful in the future.

Pretty Recipe Cream Blush in Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan, and Tropical Sunrise

Hello lovelies,

I love blushes, they are like one of the simplest thing that can make our face looks prettier instantly. Who can resist a hint of roses or peachy or something sweet on the cheeks?!

Pretty Recipe (@prettyrecipe - instagram) made their own creamy blush, for only Rp. 60.000 per pot you can choose Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan, and Tropical Sunrise.

What's the difference between those three?

This post will answer that question.

-*-

First, let's see those three cute jars, shall we?!

-*-

At a glance, they look almost similar, but when paid attention closely, their designs tells each shade. The top one is Tropical Sunrise, middle one is Cosmopolitan and the lowest one is Bloody Mary.

Each shade represented by a small thing on the pot, for tropical sunrise is the half 'sun' shape, that is the shade

-*-

Cosmopolitan represented by it's pink stripe, and Bloody Mary by it's red half 'moon' shape.

At least those are according to me ^^

Look at the image below, what do you think?
-*-

And of course, I love them all, I can think of many ways in using these babies and in many occasions and looks. The price might be quite low but the quality is good.

-*-

Above is the swatch, still in the same order, Tropical Sunrise (top) -coral-, Cosmopolitan (middle) -pink-, and Bloody Mary (bottom) -red rose-.

Use it alone after all the base is done for a glossy finish or use it before compact/loose powder for a matte finish.

These three blushes also have different scents one to another, the tropical sunrise is a bit citrus, like a fresh sweet orange, bloody mary is like a rose, and cosmopolitan is like a candy, like a berry bubblegum.

And now, the looks:

-*-

It's Bloody Mary, I use just a few dabs, less than the other not because it's too much, but I'm using a red lipstick as well as a comparison. I can still use them more and add a hint of nude pink on the cheeks. Or dab it a bit on the lips as well with a lip balm. The creamy formula is surprisingly feels powdery on the skin and doesn't take away the existing base that are already on the skin.

No noodling effect as well.

-*-

And this is Cosmopolitan, a delightful fresh pink that anyone can have. This shade definitely goes well with ANY skin tone. The shade is complementing the skin, making them look blushingly good and pretty too. Like that hint of love heehee.

-*-

I also take it on a different location under a yellowish light, and the result is in the image below.

-*-

Still very pretty right?!

-*-

Last but not least, the coral.

Suitable for everyday use or formal occasion (like working place). This shade is perfect for almost all skin tone as well. It add that 'classic' touch. I remember back then peach and coral is everywhere, people then to choose those shade, that's an era before K-Pop ^^ Now since K-Pop arrive pink and rosy cheeks are the ones that we're looking for.

And when I get back home after almost a whole day activity, the blush is still there and seems like it's just being dab. Very nice in terms of staying power.

-*-

Still confuse which one to choose?

Hopefully this compilation of image will help.

-*-

In the end, I think all shades are very beautiful, it's just depends on the kind of look you're looking for and on what kind of occasion. Your skin tone should be a guide as well, but truthfully, these three babies will go nice on just about any skin tone.

How to use?
brush or sponge or fingers is completely up to you. I prefer fingers. Dab it several time on the area that you want that prettiness to be, blend gently not by rubbing but by dabbing it gently. The cream is very easy to be distributed. Top it off with a loose powder for a matte finish or not for semi radiant glow.

Thank you so much Pretty Recipe.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer (light)

Hello all,

this is a kick ass concealer from Soap & Glory that's known as ... Kick Ass Concealer ^^

Mine is in light and  they have two other on the market. This item is from Thailand, purchased at Boots.

-*-

Details from www.soapandglory.com:

Includes an amazing under eye brightening concealer with PUFFEASE-8™ technology, SUPERWEAR™ light scrambling ‘on the spot’ complexion concealer & a weightless transparent setting powder with INSTA-FIX™ polymer technology.

available in Light and Medium.

-*-

The three piece flaw camouflage kit is very unique, where usually we only get one shade fits all, Soap & Glory divided them into areas and a powder to set them on (image below).

-*-

Please do take a look of the ingredients enlisted behind the box.

-*-

And here's how I use it.

Step 1, under the eyes and near the eyes area as a brightener.

Step 2, for all over the face that needs help, like under the nose, lip line, acne, and other things I want to hide.

-*-

The small mirror under step 3 is much needed for a quick touch up on the go.

-*-

And below is the swatch of these two steps.

-*-

And step 3, the white powder.

-*-

And after blending all those step 1 and 2 nicely (which is super easy thanks to the easy to blend texture of the products, I use step 3, which is the powder.

-*-

These three steps is actually enough for daily basis and just add a loose powder and the whole base is finish. But if you happen to be going to a major events or need a maximum coverage, you might use a liquid foundation first, and them step 1-2 and then 3, followed by your favorite compact powder. Or step 1 then 2, followed by BB Cream or any other liquid foundation and then step 3.

Or (yes, many options) use step 1, 2, after moisturizer and then add step 3 followed by a powder foundation and loose powder.

The key is to use all liquid or cream type form or makeup first before all the powders.

-*-

Finally, after the base are done, I can add some colors, mascara for the lashes, and so on.

Overall,

a great product that conceal everything I want to seal. From covering my eye bags that has a slightly dark color to redness under the nose, 'clearing' acne, hiding anything from visibility, including patches, skin discoloration, and other imperfection.

The Step 1,2 and 3 makes this product complete on it's own. It's like a 3 in 1 with powder that sets the concealer.

Make Over Blush On (Royal Expresso), Corrective Base Makeup, Eyeline Pencil (Black Jack), Liquid Lip Color (Drop Dead Pink), and Golden Express Eyeshadow.

Hello everyone,

From the recent BBMeetUp event, Make Over as one of the sponsor gave us their beautiful goodies.

Here are some of them that I'll be sharing today:

(plus, an eyeshadow in Golden Express).

-*-

I'm starting by using Corrective Base Makeup in green that help ease out those redness on the skin. Such as under the nose, and patches where some sensitiveness appear.

-*-

Just dot it every place needed and blend it well. The creamy liquid is so easy to be used and feels light on the skin. Doesn't have any scent whatsoever.

-*-

After continuing with some foundation and loose powder, I add some color makeup from Make Over collection.

Not in particular order, here they are.

-*-

The Golden Express eyeshadow surprisingly can be used on a daily event without looking too much. When special occasion the intensity can easily be added.

The eyeliner is very special for me, definitely the creamiest I ever try and feels so smooth on the eyes area, including the waterline.

-*-

The blush on is used as a shading powder for me, and it made the cheeks more visible heehee, more than just a pau.

-*-

And these are the lipstick, I have two, the one in Drop Dead Pink used on the image below and the red on the swatch is Red Temptation, yes, very tempting, will use this one very very soon and show you the result.

-*-

Below is me after using everything that is mentioned in this post going on an event.

Love the creamy feeling of the liquid lip color and the mild buttery scent. It is also quite long lasting, a bit glossy, and doesn't stain.

-*-

Easily wiped off with a tissue. The only thing is that the eyeliner that doesn't stand on the waterline or inner line of the eyes. It smudges and gave me that panda look.

-*-

Perhaps it would be better if I add a dust of powder and brush it off a bit to set it longer. But overall, a wonderful products that are budget friendly and give vivid result.

Thank you so much Make Over.
